Mandatory provisions of Right To Information Act 2005 Ref. Clause b (i) to (xvii) under Section 4, Sub-section 1

NIXI has been declared a public authority under Section 2 (h) of RTI Act 2005. Accordingly under Section 4 (b) of the act it is required to publish the particulars of its organization, functions and duties etc and update these on a regular basis. In compliance with the provisions of RTI Act 2005, NIXI furnishes the details below.

The particulars of its organization, functions and duties;

NIXI is a company registered under Section 25 of Companies Act, 1956. The following information is provided on the Organization and functions of NIXI:

The powers and duties of its officers and employees;

As per HR policy of NIXI, there are employees at Seven levels functioning in various capacities like:
Grade A : Chief Executive Officer
Grade B : Sr. G.M.
Grade C : G.M.
Grade D : Manager
Grade E : Assistant Manager
Grade F : Executive/Assistant
Grade G : Non-Executive

The procedure followed in the decision making process, including channels of supervision and accountability

The policy level decisions are made by the Board of Directors . The operational decisions are made by the officials of NIXI in terms of the delegation of powers approved by the Board. The channels of supervision and performance monitoring are reflected in the organization structure .

The norms set by it for the discharge of its functions;

NIXI follows the rules of performance management system to monitor the discharge of functions by the employees.

5.

The rules, regulations, instructions, manuals and records, held by it or under its control or used by its employees for discharging its functions;

NIXI does not exercise any statutory functions. Hence it does not hold or control any rules or regulation.

A statement of the categories of documents that are held by it or under its control.

NIXI holds the following  documents

1.Documents related to IX (Internet Exchange) operations  
(a) Agreements between NIXI and  ISPs for     connection at Internet Exchange Point
(b) Connection Forms ,
(c) Membership Forms

2.Documents related to .IN Registry
(a) Agreements between Registry and Registrars,
(b) Agreement between  Registry and Technical   Service provider for .IN Registry

3.  Annual Reports

The particulars of any arrangement that exists for consultation with, or representation by the members of the public in relation to the formulation of its policy or implementation thereof.

Policies/Objectives of the organization as laid down in Memorandum and Article of Association of the company.

A statement of the boards, councils, committees and other bodies consisting of two or more persons constituted as its part or for the purpose of its advise, and as to whether meetings of those boards, councils, committees and other bodies are open to the public, or the minutes of such meetings are accessible for public.

i) The following are the details of the Board and the Advisory Committees constituted  thereof

ii) The meetings of the above bodies are not open to the public.
iii) The minutes of the meetings are accessible for public, unless it falls under section 8(i) of the RTI Act 2005.

A directory of its officers and employees.

The monthly remuneration received by each of its officers and employees, including the system of compensation as provided in its regulations;

The monthly basic salary of the employees is as per company policy.

The budget allocated to each of its agency, indicating the particulars of all plans, proposed expenditures and reports on disbursements made;

1. NIXI does not receive any budget support from any Government. NIXI does not have any agencies under its control. NIXI earns revenue  through Internet Exchange and .IN Registry Operations

2. The Audited Accounts of the Company for the last 6 years are furnished here.

The manner of execution of subsidy programmes, including the amounts allocated and the details of beneficiaries of such programmes;

NIXI does not execute any subsidy programs.

Particulars of concessions, permits or authorizations granted by it;

Not applicable

Details in respect of the information, available to or held by it, reduced in an electronic form;

The particulars of facilities available to citizens for obtaining information, including the working hours of a library or reading room, if maintained for public use.

There is no facility of Library / Reading Room

Procedure relating to seeking information from NIXI under the RTI Act 2005: Any person seeking information from NIXI should submit the application  under Section 6 of the RTI Act, 2005 to the PIO, NIXI

The applicants may send their application form to the PIO mentioned above. The fee charged for supplying of information by NIXI will be in accordance with provisions of Right to Information Act 2005. Download

Right of the citizen in case of denial of information: Incase of denial of the information, a citizen may appeal to the Appellate authority mentioned above as per the procedure set-out in RTI Act 2005.
